How to use the Side cart section in the Meditative Folks Theme.
Side cart
At a glance
The Side cart is a slide-out drawer showing cart contents. It opens when customers add items or click the cart icon.
Where to find it
- Theme editor path: Online Store → Customize → select the relevant page → Side cart
- Add to a page: This section is fixed on its template page.

Empty cart upsell

Setting details
Each control from the tables above, explained simply:
Color scheme
Applies a color scheme from Theme settings → Colors. Default: scheme-1.
Discount Background
Controls “Discount Background” on the storefront. Open the theme editor to preview live. Default: #000000.
Discount Text
Controls “Discount Text” on the storefront. Open the theme editor to preview live. Default: #FFFFFF.
Show collection upsell when cart is empty
When the cart has no items, the drawer keeps your empty-cart message in the top area and can show collection products below in a swipeable row. Each card shows the product image and an Add to cart button (or Select options when the product has variants). Default: Off.
Upsell heading
Optional label above the product row. Default: You may like. Only shown on the storefront when upsell is enabled.
Collection
Choose which collection supplies the empty-cart products. The upsell is hidden if the collection is empty or not selected.
Number of products to show
Limits how many products load in the horizontal row. Default: 6.
Card aspect ratio
Sets the image shape on empty-cart upsell cards. Options: 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9. Default: 4:3.
Tips
- Open the theme editor and select this section to preview changes live.
- Use Theme settings for fonts, colors, and buttons that apply store-wide.
