How theme settings work

Theme settings are the store-wide controls for the Meditative Folks Theme. Change them once, and they apply across your shop — fonts, colors, buttons, product cards, cart behavior, and more.

Think of theme settings as your brand’s default style guide. Individual sections can still override some of these defaults when you need a one-off look.

Where to find theme settings

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Click Customize on the Meditative Folks Theme.
  3. In the theme editor, open Theme settings (often shown as a gear or paintbrush icon in the left sidebar).

You will see groups such as Colors, Typography, Brand assets, and Product Card.

How settings connect to sections and blocks

You do not need to know how the theme is built. Here is the merchant-friendly picture:

Theme settings (global defaults)
        │
├── Colors → Color schemes you pick on each section
├── Typography → Default heading and body styles
├── Buttons → Default button look and sizes
└── Brand assets → Logo / social blocks can reuse these
                │
                ▼
Sections & blocks on each page
(can use globals, or turn on local overrides)

Color schemes

  1. Create or edit schemes under Theme settings → Colors.
  2. On almost every section, choose a Color scheme setting (for example “Scheme 1”).
  3. That section then uses the background, text, and button colors from that scheme.

“Use global …” checkboxes

Many sections include checkboxes like Use global heading styles or Use global button styles.

  • On (checked): the section follows Theme settings (Typography / Buttons).
  • Off: extra size and style controls appear so you can style only that section.

Use globals for a consistent brand. Turn them off only when one section needs to stand out (for example a sale banner).

Brand blocks

Blocks such as Brand logo, Brand social, and Brand contact details read from Theme settings → Brand assets. Update the logo or Instagram URL once in theme settings, and those blocks stay in sync.

Tips

  • Change fonts and colors in Theme settings first, then fine-tune individual sections.
  • After big changes, check home, product, collection, and cart pages.
  • Keep a note of which color scheme each important section uses so you can restyle quickly later.
