Uninstall theme
Uninstall and remove the theme
You can remove the Meditative Folks Theme from your Shopify store at any time. Shopify does not permanently delete themes until you choose Delete.
Important before you delete
- You cannot delete the theme that is currently live. Publish a different theme first, then delete the Meditative Folks Theme.
- Deleting a theme removes its customizations (section layouts, text, and theme setting choices). Product data, collections, and orders stay in Shopify.
- If you might need the theme again, download a backup zip from the theme menu before deleting, or keep it unpublished in Theme library.

Show the Themes page with the Current theme at the top and Theme library below. Label which theme is live so you understand you must switch before deleting.
Option A — Stop using the theme but keep it (safest)
- Go to Online Store → Themes.
- In Theme library, open another theme you want to use.
- Click Publish and confirm.
The Meditative Folks Theme moves to Theme library and is no longer live. You can publish it again later.
Option B — Delete the theme completely
1. Make sure the theme is not live
If the Meditative Folks Theme is live:
- Publish a different theme first (Option A above).
- Confirm the storefront shows the other theme.
2. Delete the theme from Theme library
- Go to Online Store → Themes.
- Under Theme library, find the Meditative Folks Theme.
- Click the ⋯ menu on the theme card.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
The theme is removed from your store.

After removing the theme
- If you installed apps only for Meditative Folks Theme features, you can remove those apps separately under Settings → Apps.
- If you switch back to another theme, open Customize on that theme and check header, footer, and homepage sections.
